Snow Daze Has Come a Loonnggg Way
I just visited Google Analytics to look at my site stats, and it hit me. Snow Daze really has come a long way. Remember the first site? A PageBuilder, amateur site that only my close friends went to. And just writing this now, I realize I owe my success to Mari.
Mari, you’re the one who spread the word. I’ve known you for a few years now (for those of you who don’t know, I actually know Mari) and your site really helped mine. Without you linking to my first site, I would’ve never gotten the publicity I do now, and I never would’ve found people like Lily, Clem, Mary, and Rachael. I now have people coming to my site from Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, the Phillipines, Bahrain, Singapore, and New Zealand! 16.13% of all my visitors have found my site from you. But most importanly, I never would’ve continued Snow Daze if you hadn’t inspired me, and let other people know that my site was out there. I would like to take all the credit and say, “Yeah, I just worked really hard to get where I am today.” That defenitely is true, but I can’t take all the credit.
Now I know my site isn’t professional - in fact it’s FAR from it. But I have progressed and learned SO much since I started web designing. And all of the people who have stuck with Snow Daze since the beginning know that. But Mari was the one who inspired me, who let people know about my site, and, even though she didn’t know it, she was the one who pushed me to improve my site. She was the one who helped it get to where it is today. So, thank you Mari. I owe you big time.

It’s amazing. Compare this site to Girls on Web. Compare Ink Dreamer to blackpearl__. Compare the current Clemwalrusness to the iframed one. Everyone’s improved!

Aw, that’s so sweet. Thanks so much :). We’ve all helped each other, anyway. The awesome thing about web design is that there’s like a whole community and everyone like pitches in to help everyone else.

Ah yes, the original Starry City. It has DEFENITELY improved! Now it has a domain, a CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) layout, and is coded in XHTML! *applause*
