New Site Name?
Hey everyone - my site is going on a secret revamp (which isn’t a secret anymore) with new and revised pages, a new layout, and maybe a new site name. Does anyone like either of these names?
Clearly Invisible
True Illusion
I like them both, but I don’t know if a) they appeal to anyone else b) which to pick c) if I should change my site name at all. So what do you think?

Happy Revamp :), I can’t wait to see the changes. For the sitename, I think you choose something that really represents you and something that you know you’ll still want down the road. Good luck!

Okay. I don’t want to sound too blunt here, but they sound kind of… teenybopper, I guess?
I agree with Yara - pick something that really suits your personality. For instance, Yara’s site name is Yaardvark, obviously very personal. And for me, Oh Clementine, well, my name is in it!
I think the thing I dislike most about those names is that they’re following that trend of “let’s pick a random adjective and pair it with a random word”. Clearly Invisible - yeah, okay, how does that pertain to you? Same with True Illusion. While they may sound catchy to you, they have nothing to do with you at all, and are interchangeable with any teenybopper website’s name. I feel like I’ve heard each of those names a thousand times before.
Good luck!

Well, actually, the names aren’t random at all. I specifically picked oxymorons because I love them and they fit my personality.

Okay, fair enough, but that’s really a teenybopper trend and it makes no sense at all. There have been numerous articles written on these trends (one is here: http://intotherain.org/blog/content/what-not-to-name-your-site/).
I just don’t think that with a site name like Clearly Invisible you will make a good first impression or stand out. That’s all.
