Magic

I’ve been watching videos of Criss Angel recently, and have read the comments after each video. There seemed to be a lot of controversy between whether the tricks are real or not. I do know a few of his tricks are fake (he personally explained them), but there are some that are incredible, and no one has any idea how he accomplished them.

I like to believe in magic and the supernatural, but sometimes you have proof that things are illusions. I have a friend who was on the David Copperfield show as a double in a “transportation” trick. So a lot of it’s fake.

Do you believe that there are supernatural or magical things out there? Or are you a person who is logical, and doesn’t believe in those kind of things?

School Spirit

[EDIT] Oh, and this is really random, but I just realized something - Mozilla products are all FireFox, ThunderBird, SeaMonkey, and SunBird. Hee hee. :) Sorry if everyone else already realized that, but I just figured that out. [/EDIT]

This week and next week is part of my schools “Drug Free Spirit Week” or something like that. Now, I, being the type of person who doesn’t really care what other people think, will be myself and just go crazy on Spirit Days. But most people think that Spirit Week is geeky or stupid. Example: On *enter school name here* Day, you wear everything that represents your school. I go crazy. I wear my school sweatshirt, even dye my hair in school colors, while others don’t do anything and laugh at people who do. I think this is stupid. Why does everything think showing school spirit is geeky? Do you think it is, or do you show school spirit?

Sports

A lot of people have “#1 sports,” where they have a top priority sport that they play year round. I’m different, I play different sports each season. Winter is basketball, fall is field hockey and track, summer is softball, and spring is field hockey. I either play for my school, or Rec & Ed, which is like a non-competitive sporting system. I couldn’t play on a travel team or whatever because the competition and pressure would get to me. Don’t get me wrong - I love to win games and I always do my best, but for me, it’s more about the fun than the winning. That’s not the case for everyone.

The people who I know have a top priority sport seem more competitive to me, and they’re the ones who seem to yell at other people for doing something wrong. Not everyone is like that, but some of the people I know are. Are you serious about your sports? What sports do you play? Do you have a top priority sport? Comment away!

* And for the people who noticed the comments weren’t working, I fixed them! :) *
